Ben Luzynski
CEO
Ben Luzynski was named CEO of Watch Systems in 2018. In this role, Ben directs all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting, financial planning, interface with the financial community, financial analysis, acquisitions and ventures, and monitoring of financial performance. Ben has more than 15 years of experience at Watch Systems, starting as a web developer before refining his technology and programming skills as Vice President of IT and then as the Executive Vice President. Post Hurricane Katrina, Ben explored the East Coast working for Geoscape, a Hispanic and multicultural marketing company based in Miami, before returning to Covington in 2009 to work at Watch Systems. Ben is a member of Vistage, the world’s leading business advisory and executive coaching organization. He lives in Covington with his wife and their daughter.
Mike Cormaci
President & Co-Founder
As President and co-founder of Watch Systems, Mike Cormaci is responsible for the overall business strategy, sales objectives, and leadership of the executive team. Mike works closely with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to understand their public safety and compliance needs. He currently serves on a number of committees with the National Sheriffs’ Association and advises several state associations on issues of sex offender registration, verification and community notification. With this knowledge, Mike is able to recommend effective best practices and practical automated solutions for law enforcement and state agencies tasked with sex offender management and community notification. Mike received his B.S. in Economics from Kansas State University. Mike lives with his wife and five children in Abita Springs, La.
Lou Luzynski
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Lou Luzynski is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Watch Systems, makers of OffenderWatch. Prior to Watch Systems, Lou was President and Chief Executive Officer of Fuelman. As one of the co-founders of Fuelman, Lou helped guide the company from a startup in 1985 to a company with over 300 employees and $100 million in annual sales in 1999. Previously, Lou was a Senior Manager of audit, tax, and management consulting services at KPMG Peat Marwick for early-stage, privately-held emerging growth companies. Lou earned a B.A. in Accounting with Cum Laude honors from St. Louis University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jonathan Roberts
Vice President of Operations
Jonathan Roberts is responsible for overseeing and optimizing OffenderWatch’s business processes and support of our existing clients. He also manages development of several special projects, OffenderWatch supplementary products, and external interfaces. Jonathan studied Information Systems at LSU and has over 15 years of information technology experience. Previous experience includes management and technical roles in a national service organization supporting large corporate accounts as well as government entities. Jonathan holds many industry certifications including Microsoft® Certified Technology Specialist, SQL Server, and Windows® Server.
Tim Basonic
Vice President, IT
Tim has more than 25 years of executive management, project management, software security, database design, network administration, information architecture, application development, database deployment and management experience in his roles in the private IT sector, as well as in his time in the military. As VP of IT, Tim coordinates projects from discovery to delivery of current IT solutions, walking in partnership with his clients through risk analysis, requirements gathering, communications, training and maintenance. Having managed more than 100 projects, he is able to implement and manage large, multi-site teams and complete complex project life cycles.
Tim and his wife founded a non-profit girls softball organization geared towards helping to give underprivileged girls who have athletic talent a chance to showcase their skills and abilities to college level recruiters.
Phyllis Jones
Controller
Phyllis has been working in the finance department of Watch Systems since joining the company in 2012. In her role, she oversees the accounting department and keeps track of budgets and financial statements. Prior to joining the Watch Systems team, Phyllis worked more than 15 years in various accounting positions in the offshore crane business, and as a project manager for a crane company in the Louisiana. She graduated from Phoenix University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Accounting degree. She’s a member of Society for Human Resource Management and Northshore Society for Human Resource Management. She lives in Slidell, LA.
John Strain
Director of Sales
John has worked with Watch Systems for nearly a decade, starting in business development and working his way up to Director of Sales. John has overseen national sales from local to statewide strategic accounts for OffenderWatch, also helping to research and uncover state and local law enforcement challenges and solutions. Prior to his current role, John served as Assistant Branch Rental Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car where he received top honors in sales and setting new sales records. John graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in psychology. He lives in Covington, La.
Lionel Hanley
Director of Marketing
Lionel has more than 25 years of experience in software product marketing, sales and project management. He joined Watch Systems and OffenderWatch in 2014 as a project manager, ensuring technology projects were on-time and under budget for new state clients. He was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2019, where he oversees all marketing efforts for the company. By working closely with state and internal IT resources, Lionel helps OffenderWatch’s software-as-a-service solutions bring immediate efficiencies and assurance of continued compliance to state customers. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in biochemistry.
