“People that have been convicted or found guilty of a crime of a heinous act against our most vulnerable individuals that are out there are children and they need to be protected,” said Joseph Flagler, Niagara County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

That’s why it’s helpful to know where the offenders live not just on Halloween when kids are trick-or-treating, but all the time. Years ago, sex offenders were listed in three-ring binders. Now thanks to an offender watch, you can find them in Niagara County through a quick internet search.

“Progressive parents that know where they live in our community deal with them professionally, properly, do not harass the offender. It’s just knowledge that you know where they are,” said Flagler.

NiagaraSheriff.com has a list of sex offenders. All you have to do is search for your home address and you will find the offenders in your neighborhood.

Police agencies in Niagara County perform regular home checks for registered sex offenders, all under the jurisdiction of the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
